Our services and initiatives include the following…
- Advocacy and support for individual post-secondary students with disabilities
- Advocacy and support for student groups that advocate on behalf of post-secondary students with disabilities
- Advisory and consulting for student services offices, administrators, faculty, staff, community organizations and others
Disability awareness workshops focused around issues such as:
- The types of barriers experienced by post-secondary students with disabilities
- Strengthening self-advocacy for post-secondary students with disabilities
- Leadership development within the post-secondary students with disabilities movement and the mainstream disability movement strategic planning around barrier removal to increase accessibility and inclusion for post-secondary students with disabilities
- Event and campaign planning and organizing around issues that impact post-secondary students with disabilities
Our annual Breaking Down Barriers Conference brings people together to discuss barriers experienced by post-secondary students with disabilities and to strategize around how to remove such barriers
Our annual Simply People:Celebrating Our Lives & Our Identities event to bring the broader disability community together in a celebratory march, followed by performers and speakers
